Computer Tutoring

Another great work from home idea is computer and internet tutoring.

If you have half way decent computer skills, you may be successful at start offering home based computer tutoring to those who are not as computer savvy as you.

There are many people, of all ages, but primarily 30+ who have heard of the great benefits and information available through their computers and the Internet. By offering to tutor these people in your home or theirs, you will be opening the doors for them to a whole new world.

Be careful of zoning laws if you offer to tutor in your home and not theirs, as you may have some neighbors who think they are the king and queen of the neighborhood and it is their duty to report you for operating a business from your home which is in a residential area. There are those type of people, we have two living across from us.

You could advertise this business with flyers that could be posted at the library, post office, grocery store, senior centers or anywhere they allow free posting of bulletins or even low cost, small classified ads should bring you an ongoing number of prospects for this work from home idea. You could also contact various organizations that provide information and services to the every growing senior citizen population.

Yes, there are many books on how to get started using a computer and/or the Internet, but most people are visual beings and they like to have someone there who can point out things that will help them and it is much easier to learn in this manner than from a book.

If you do not live in a highly zoned area, you may evolve your computer tutoring business into classes for small numbers of people. This might require some investment on your part for overhead projector's etc. but that is all part of a growing business.

This is a great work from home idea that anyone who is reading this should be computer savvy enough to offer to someone who is not.

How To Sell On eBay

While I certainly do not profess to be even remotely close to being an expert on How To Sell On Ebay, I can possibly provide you with some ideas to help you use the world's largest auction place to get your home business started.

My husband and I decided about a year ago that it was time to begin (slowly) liquidating some of the many things we have accumulated in our 34 year marriage. Neither one of us had a clue how to sell on ebay, although my husband had purchased an ebook about 3 years prior, he never really had time to use what he learned from it.

Initially, we found a local ebay powerseller who had a business of taking people's goods and selling them on eBay for a percentage of the closing auction amount. We learned a few good things from this experience and a few negative ones that prompted us (primarily me) to learn how to sell on ebay ourselves.

If you decide to start a home business selling on ebay, remember some of our negative experiences. One was being told our items would all be listed within a 30 day period. Never happened. When it got to be 60 days and only a small portion of our items had been listed, we stopped further listings and picked up everything that had not been sold from the dealer.

During this period of time I found the how to sell on ebay ebook my husband had purchased 3 years earlier for $30 (or something like that) had now been updated by the author who was not making it available free. The author is a lady who now makes a very good living in her own home based business selling on ebay and she is very down to earth in explaining techniques and tools that we would never had thought of, had it not been for her free ebook.

Selling on ebay ties directly in with my last post, but I realized after writing it that some people will want to start our slowly and one of the best ways to do so is outlined near the beginning of this free ebook.

Basically, you can learn how to sell on ebay by placing your own items or those of your friends and relatives (for a percentage of course). In following this course of action and using the experience of a full time business person who relates her experiences, techniques and special tools that are available, you can jump start your own ome business.

My husband and I are still selling off our life's possessions but this free ebook helped us discover gems of knowledge that helped us make a lot more money for our auctions and saved us a great deal of money had we not discovered them.

I could go on and on about how grateful we are to have discovered this free how to sell on ebay ebook, but instead, why don't go download a free copy for yourself. It is a PDF format so you will need Adobe acrobat reader (a free program) and be sure to save a copy to your computer so you may read it while you are offline at your convenience.

Here is the link to the free "How To Sell On Ebay" (and other auctions) ebook. Enjoy!
